The first 14 verses of Deuteronomy chapter 28, enumerates the beautiful rewards of keeping God’s commandments, however the remaining verses don’t sound so pleasant- they line- list numerous consequences of not keeping the law.
Jesus’ ministry (good works) centered around doing good to people- healing the sick, feeding the hungry, helping where help was needed, preaching and teaching about the kingdom of God. He lived for humanity. His life was a life of doing good works.
Your purpose must be centered around people
God created everybody for a purpose. Yes! You were born into this world to fulfill a divine purpose; Jeremiah 1:5 tells us this much…
Many times our predominant thoughts are about life issues that are affecting us at every point in time. Marriage, children, career, relationships, health, finances, etc. Some times the thoughts around these areas of life are pleasant, at other times they are not.
Fear can be tackled as it begins to build in the mind by choosing to focus on a different (positive) picture than the one offered by fear. There seems to be a difference between God GIVING a king versus God RAISING a king
““After that He gave them judges for about four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet. And afterward they asked for a king; so God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years.”
Acts 13:20-21 NKJV
“And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’”
Acts 13:22 NKJV

Jesus shares a similar example on the power of persistent prayers in Luke 18:1-8. An unjust judge is persuaded to act against his natural tendencies and grant a widow justice because of her persistent request. God is just and a good Father, so He is inclined to respond to His children if they do not give up in prayer.
