Text: Deuteronomy 32:1-2
“Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; And hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. Let my teaching drop as the rain, My speech distill as the dew, As raindrops on the tender herb, And as showers on the grass.”
Deuteronomy 32:1-2 NKJV
1. You Will Stay Connected To Jesus
The whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is about Jesus. John 1:1 & 14, tells us that Jesus is the Word; He became flesh and lived on earth as man – with men.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:1, 14 NKJV
So every time you spend time in the Word of God, you are spending time with Jesus.
Have you been feeling a bit distant from Jesus lately? You can restore your relationship and intimacy by spending more time with Him through the Word.
Stay connected to Jesus when you spend time reading your Bible.
2. You Are Guaranteed of Timely Productivity
Psalm 1:1-3, describes the life experience of someone who intentionally chooses to read and meditate on the Bible-
- You are well rooted and nourished by the Word
- Your works are fruitful (productive) at the right time
“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.” Psalms 1:1-3 NIV
Have you been feeling like you have little or nothing to show for all your hard-work? When you’re rooted and nourished spiritually your productivity will increase.
Start reading your Bible again today- you’ll start experiencing more productivity as your spirit and mind are nourished by the Word (Matthew 4:4, Romans 12:2).
3. You Will Have Direction In Life
In Psalm 119:105, David identifies God’s Word as;
- A lamp that guides his steps
- A light that illuminates his path.
“Your word is like a lamp that guides my steps, a light that shows the path I should take.”
Psalms 119:105 ERV
Never be in doubt about what to do at a crossroad. Don’t say ‘I don’t know what to do’ anymore. Connect to your supernatural navigator – The Word! You’ll experience Jesus’ guidance as you spend time with Him in the Word of God- His Spirit will guide you.
4. You Are Set Up for Success and Prosperity
Joshua 1:8 says;
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.”
Joshua 1:8 AMP
We learn from Joshua to-
- Keep the Word before our eyes at all times – read and study the Word
- Keep the Word in our mouth every day and night- meditate on it, mutter and speak it
- Be intentional about living our lives according to the Word- you live out what you learn from the Bible
When we do these things, we’re set up for a prosperous and successful life.
Friend, you can get all the wisdom you need to excel in life from God (Proverbs 2:6)
5. You Are Assured of Healing and Health
According to Proverbs 4:22, God’s Word is;
- Life
- Healing and
- Health
“My son, pay attention to my words and be willing to learn; Open your ears to my sayings. Do not let them escape from your sight; Keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing and health to all their flesh.”
Proverbs 4:20-22 AMP
