GOF 2023 Christmas Outreach Report

What Is GOF?

Grace Obomanu Foundation (GOF) is a faith-based nonprofit organization with the overall vision to make known the knowledge of God through wisdom and revelation from God’s Word. We are on a mission to build faith, share love and restore hope through the message of Christ.

A Multi-faceted Approach to fulfilling our Mission and Vision

We carry out outreaches to charity homes, communities and groups; teaching, preaching and mentoring people to live thier best lives. We share bible-based teachings using different online platforms. And provide simple, practical answers to everyday real life issues. Through partnerships we work to improve wellbeing among elderly persons, young girls and underprivileged persons.

Overview of Christmas 2023 Outreach

We hold 2 main outreaches in a year; at Christmas and Easter.

Our 2023 Christmas outreach was successful as we met all set targets.

We planned to reach out to 100 elderly folks; we ended up giving out 117 packs of foodstuffs to elderly people and more. Other achievements of this project include;
  • Engaging talk on healthy aging
  • Free medical consultation
  • Evangelism & Salvation of Souls.
  •  And yes, yes, Christmas Rice (plus stew)…
  • We also met and exceeded our need for volunteers for this particular outreach so we couldn’t integrate everyone who indicated interest to attend. Apologies.

GOF Christmas 2023 Outreach

Hurray! It’s time again for GRACE OBOMANU FOUNDATION (GOF) Christmas Outreach!!

Through your support, GOF continues to reach out to needy people and elderly persons in our communities especially during the Easter and Christmas holidays.

Can you believe that this is our 3rd year doing this together? From the ‘Badamia Boys Home visit, to the Easter and Christmas 2022 Outreaches, we have together preached the gospel of Christ, provided free medical care, distributed foodstuffs and given free health talk; especially to needy people and the elderly. I am grateful for the privilege and opportunity to impact lives together with you.

This Christmas (2023), we are planning two (2) outreach sessions in 2 communities. We have carefully selected 2 health facilities with poor patient patronage in 2 different communities. We will work in partnership with the facility staff to render free medical care as well as distribute foodstuffs to no fewer than 100 persons in both locations. As usual these sessions would also provide an opportunity to preach and evangelize especially to our primary target audience, the elderly. We also hope that our presence at the facility will help improve facility utilization going forward.

Outreach Dates: 13th & 14th December 2023.

Will this be something you’d like to be a part of?

Christmas Outreach 2022 Report

This outreach was 2 days of just being representatives of Jesus to some elderly folks and widows. They received free medical care and some foodstuff because you gave. Thank you for your massive support to ‘Grace Obomanu Foundation’. Because of what you gave, we were able to reach more people than would have been possible if we did it all by ourselves.

GOF Easter 2022 Outreach

Last Christmas we had so much fun visiting Badamia Boys Home. This Easter, it was another privilege and great honor for Grace Obomanu Foundation (GOF) as we visited a community in Rivers State, Nigeria to donate food items to elderly folks.

The gratitude on the faces of these elderly persons is something we want to continue seeing in the future as we expand our reach and coverage.

All glory belongs to Jesus!

Thankful to our volunteer team members

I am looking forward to our Mid-year Outreach. I hope you can be a part of it, because together we can do more.

Badamia Home Outreach

One of the key functions of Grace Obomanu Foundation is to conduct outreaches to Communities, Charities and Groups of needy people. Our outreach to Badamia Home was both inspiring and rewarding.

Badamia is home to about 20 boys (and young men) who were picked off the street as orphans. The Home, a non-governmental organization located in the city of Port Harcourt Nigeria has been housing and rehabilitating vulnerable children providing not just accommodation but also education, social support, and vocational trainings. In partnership with other groups, the Home has helped several young men become detoxified, educated, working in paid employment, while others make a living from skills acquired from the Home.

On the 17th of October 2021, Grace Obomanu Foundation visited Badamia Home for an outreach.

During our visit, we taught and discussed the Word of God with the young men. We gave every child a bible and an evangelistic tract. We shared cooked food to everyone (staff and children), and we dropped some foodstuffs for the Home. It was a very rewarding experience.

We found Badamia boys and young men to be brilliant and intellectually sound. They were bold, confident and well-mannered. They nicely shared their views on some scriptures as well.

The young men took turns to thank us not only for the gifts that we brought them but with emphasis on the fact that we considered them important enough to come and spend time talking and listening to them. This left us with deep appreciation for the work that the administration is doing. The staff were warm, welcoming and courteous.

I am looking forward to future visits to this Home when we can find time to engage the boys on their future plans and aspirations.

If you have ever considered mentoring or supporting a child through school or some form of skills acquisition, I strongly recommend Badamia Home boys. Please reach me using information on my contact page.

I am deeply THANKFUL to all those that supported this Outreach financially and otherwise. May God bless and reward you abundantly. And I am thankful to the Foundation Team for their hardwork and commitment towards the success of this Outreach.

‘And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’’ Matthew 25:40 NKJV
