Thursday, November 21st 2019, I sat at the feet of Jesus and inquired of Him; ….‘Lord what is my guiding word for the coming season and new year?
2018 Summary
In 2018, my work and service to the Lord were guided by “Divine Opportunities for Increase“. Divine opportunities for increase come our way when we serve selflessly (service being a springboard to promotion/increase), when we receive and act on an unusual instruction from The Lord, when we give to the poor and needy in our midst, when we give an unusual freewill offering to God’s work, when we connect with the divine relationships God sends our way. https://graceobomanu.com/divine-opportunities-for-increaseblog-post-5/
2019 Summary
2019, I knew that “The Drought was Over, The Clouds were Up & The Rains Are Here”. Rains here signifying better things, new experiences, productivity, growth, fruitfulness, new potentials, life, health, and outpouring of God’s goodness in great measures. https://graceobomanu.com/the-rains-are-here/
Some Areas we experienced rain on the blog in 2019
Oh! it’s been raining all over here. The Lord faithfully caused the rains to fall and water my service to Him. One, the blog site became restructured to ensure everything had its own little space. The frequency of my publication also increased tremendously, my familiarity and skill with using available resources on the site for better post structure and presentation also improved. Of all the restructuring that took place on the blog site, the most exciting for me has been creating a platform for Talk with Grace Obomanu (TWGO) here. This means that people can send their counselling request directly to me via email without going on our Facebook page
Thank you all for your messages and I trust The Lord to give you an answer of peace for your different situations.
Viewership on the blog this year astounded me, yes, ‘incredible‘ does not even come close to describing it. There has been a steady increase in viewership from 2017 (1512 views) to 2018 (1807 views) and to 2019 (5,933 views). That’s a 19% increase between 2017 and 2018 and 228% increase between 2018 and 2019….Talk about the RAINS!!!. Take a look below at the pictorial representation of global viewership on the blog.
I think it will look very beautiful when we have deep pinkish indentations on every continent, without a single coordinate missing ?. I promise to share that picture with you….surely…?
Within this year also, The Lord opened my eyes to the many number of ‘shares’ on my online counseling page; Talk with Grace Obomanu ( fb.me/graceobomanu.org ). The day that happened, was one of those days when I feel kind of low that things aren’t moving as fast as I’d want. To my greatest surprise and reproof I was unable to give a ‘Like’ to all the ‘shares’. They were too many, from different places and different walks of life. Lord!!! I tell you that was scary but calming as well. ? I wanted to just click ‘Like’ as my own little way of saying ‘thank you for your partnership’ to all those who effortlessly support the spread of the Word of God.
Having been on social media for a while now (mainly sharing the Word) I know that someone may be able to buy ‘Likes’ and ‘Followers’ but not shares and comments. Shares and comments are key indicators of a post’s relevance and engagement. So, thank you for your support and for being here.
If you follow me on Instagram (link at bottom of this page), you’d have noticed a short break in our posting frequency and also a reformatting of graphics. I am excited with how simple and lively the graphics look and I am trusting God for direction to better engage with Instagram (And also Twitter…coming for you in Jesus Christ name…) ?.
Laying the Foundation for Grace Obomanu Foundation
Another interesting thing that happened this 2019 is laying the skeletal framework for Grace Obomanu Foundation. Wow! I trust the Lord to start and conclude all paperwork about this, tops, Q2 2020, then it can start to function fully as it should. Hallelujah. Join the foundation using a link on the Home page. Become a part of a community that help needy hands balance, blossom and bounce. ?
There’s so much to share about the rains falling around here, but hey! we have a new season coming and I am really very excited for another opportunity to do my Father’s Business.
About the coming season, 2020....
Now back to Thursday 21st November 2019 ……still at the feet of Jesus, ……..I did get a word, dropped in my heart clearly and very calmly…..bring in the sheaves….
Hmm, bring in the sheaves…? What does that even mean? It didn’t make sense at all. So I listened for some more….. and then I heard it clearly…….Time to Bring in the Sheaves. I mused on that a bit more …. and more and hey! though my heart was still bowed in prayer, my dancing shoes located my feet and stuck themselves. As I paced and swayed, I danced, danced and danced.
In 1874, Knowles Shaw, inspired by Psalm 126:6, wrote the lyrics for the popular American Gospel song ‘bringing in the sheaves‘ The song is currently used mostly by Protestant Christians commonly with the tune provided by George Minor, written in 1880.
Psalm 126:6 reads; “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
What are sheaves?
Sheaves is the plural of sheaf, where sheaf is a bundle of grain stalks laid lengthways and tied together. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a sheaf can also mean a large amount or number of something.
The thought of bringing in sheaves is almost mind blowing to me. Psalm 126:6 is loaded, but since this have been a very long post, we briefly look at that scripture again….
“He who goes back and forth weeping, carrying his bag of seed [for planting], Will indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.”
Psalms 126:6 AMP
There are 6 things I want to quickly point out from Psalm 126:6;
1. To ‘bring in sheaves’ sounds to me like an instruction requiring an action.
2. To bring in sheaves, there must have been a field on which seeds were sown.
3. Bringing in sheaves involves a process
4. Bringing in sheaves involves work; of carrying a seed bag and planting same.
5. There is Gathering, binding and pulling
6. Harvest and rejoicing occur in the time of bringing in sheaves.
Halleluyah!!!
So, join me in the coming weeks as we delve into the scriptures for better understanding of Psalm 126:6.
Happy New Season.
My love always ??❤
