No Child of God should be intimidated by any kind problem. I trust that this article on simplified problem solving helps you categorize, simplify and tackle life problems.
Below is an approach that can help you deal with different kinds of problems as a Christian.
Start by reducing the problem to
- It’s source or cause
- Possible harm
- Available and Possible Solutions
A. Source or Cause
- Is it a normal life problem? Is it a common everyday problem?
- Is it from the enemy?
B. Possible Harm
What are the possible harm
- To you- your health, emotional wellbeing, spiritual stability, etc.
- Your Systems – family, ministry, organization, marriage, etc
Identify possible ways to mitigate, reduce and stop negative impacts or consequences.
C. Solutions
Classify the problems into:?
a. Problems you can handle:
- Pray- Some problems can be fixed through prayers, others you need to do more. However, irrespective of the problem, prayer gives you wisdom, understanding, empowerment and the best direction or approach to tackle the problem. You also consider if you need to involve others as you pray; your pastor, other trusted brethren.
- Confess God’s Word. Nothing can withstand God’s Word. The Word is living, powerful and sharper any two-edged sword. Put the Word of God against every challenge, unpleasant situations, circumstances, they will give way over time.
- Seek Counsel- Counseling can provide a different and helpful perspective on problems. A seemingly huge problem or complex situation can be unraveled and settled with the right counsel.
- Engage the services of experts, persons with technical know-how to fix problems if you’re dealing with every day issues. Pray and trust God to connect you with the right people.
b. Problems that only God can fix.
- Put problem against God: Speak God’s Word. Do this in faith and with patience. Nothing can withstand the power in the Word of God. The Word of God is living, powerful and sharper than any 2-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12, Hebrews 6:12, Isaiah 40:8).
- Trust God to bring a good end, He surely will. The problem will resolve and melt away over time as you speak God’s Word. God never loses any battle (Isaiah 26:3-4, Proverbs 3:5-6, Hebrews 13:8).
- Celebrate your victory by faith…praise God. Remember Christ has already won the victory for us; our prayers, confessions, praises, serves to enforce the victory we already have in Christ (1 John 5:4, Hebrews 10:23).
C. Problems orchestrated by the enemy
- Give it the word. Your ‘It is Written’ is your key to victory over the devil (Matthew 4:1-11).
- Proclaim your victory in The Name of Jesus (Philippians 2:9).
- Stand by the blood of Jesus and claim your victory (Revelations 12:11).
- Depending on the issue or problem, you may need to break bread more regularly.
