I Teach You To Profit

The Lord said in Isaiah 48:17; ‘I teach you to profit’.

“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.” Isaiah‬ ‭48‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV

There are 4 things I want to highlight from this verse

1. God wants You to profit

• If God says, He teaches you to profit, then God wants you to profit. 
• He wants you successful, enjoying life to its fullest.
• 3 John 1:2 reads…”Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

2. God knows the things that will Bring You profit

• Verse says I am the ONE who will teach you how to prosper 
• Meaning He knows the ways that will lead us to prosperity. 
• The Maker of the Universe says, He wants to teach you how to prosper 
• That’s kind of awesome 
• You want to jump in with both hands and feet…with the totality of your being. 

Friends, If we would follow, listen to the Lord we would not be poor. 

3.  How does God teach us to profit

Look at Isaiah 48 verses 18-19, NLT..

“This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow. Oh, that you had listened to my commands! Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea.”

We see 3 main ways He teaches us how to profit from verses 18-19…

• He TEACHES us 
• He LEADS us
• He SPEAKS to us

Teaching can occur by instruction or mentoring….you watch, learn and repeat what you see the teacher do. 

God leads us primarily by the inner witness His Spirit witnessing with our spirit. He also leads us by His Word. He leads us by the Holy Spirit. 

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So God leads His sons, and that includes you. He promises to lead you in the way that will make you profit and prosper.

4. Benefits of Profiting God’s Way

What are some benefits of being taught how to profit by God…

We can tease some of these out from today’s text..,,

• Continuous Peace that flows like a river…verse 18. AMP & NLT
• Unending Prosperity..,, verse 18
• Abundance of holiness and purity… Your integrity will be protected, intact because you will deal in integrity, clear conscience,  not meddling with corrupt practices. 
• Fruitfulness… children and more…
• Unending Supply …verse 21….you will know no lack because God’s leadership will guarantee sustained supply for you. 

So, will you Commit to following the Lord today?

When you do, you are assured of prosperity and profit.
