Loving relationships help build emotional connections, foster deep bonds and provide an avenue to share life with others. Love is a beautiful tool for winning people over, not only because it gives people a sense of acceptance and belonging, but also because people in love are generally comfortable with exhibiting a vulnerability and delicate trust that is borne out of a feeling of mutual acceptance. In this write-up, I glean from scriptures to share on how to win people over through love.
The comfort, acceptability and deep sense of ownership felt with love is accentuated when love is offered unconditionally and without an urterior motive. This is the nature of God’s love; unconditonal, selfless, and sacrificial. God communicates the unconditonal, sacrificial and selfless nature of His love towards mankind by sending His only beloved Son to save a sinful and undeserving world (John 3:16, Romans 5:8). In the same vein, the Lord Jesus Christ understanding the power of love in winning people over, exhibited the highest kind of love that exists- dying on the cross to save mankind (John 15:13).
Love is a powerful tool- and I mean the God-kind of love. The kind of love that does not depend on the feeling of the giver nor on the disposition of the receiver. It is the highest kind of love that exists as demonstrated by God.
Love is the way to victory; God the Father thought so, He banked on the power of love when He gave His Son to die to save the world (John 3:16). And Jesus thought so as well, that is why He laid down His life to save mankind because of love.
Friends, just like the Father and Jesus, we can win anybody over through love, because love, when applied God way, never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8 . Love Always Wins!
To win people over through love, we must commit to loving them unconditionally, selflessly and sacrifically. Enjoy this powerful message in this short video..
