The dictionary defines doubt as a feeling of uncertainty or a lack of conviction about a thing. Contrary to doubt, faith believes for the impossible, pulling into the natural realm things perceived as reality from the supernatural realm, things not visible to the natural eyes. So doubt is a faith-stopper and a miracle snatcher. How do you stop doubt from stealing your miracle? The answer to this can be seen in Mark 11:23…
“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23 NKJV
This verse tells us how faith works….
• Believe for what you want in your heart
• Speak, say or confess what you’re believing for with your mouth
• Do not doubt that you’ll get or experience what you are believing for
• Then you will have it.
If we believe and speak what we believe for according to God’s Word, we would receive are believing for if ONLY we do not doubt. So doubt is a show stopper, because the ultimate expectation of faith is a miracle (an usual occurence that happens by divine intervention) and the fulfilment of an expectation, desire or need. Doubt will stop that from happening.
Doubt will stop our faith and miracle.
See what James 1:6-9 says…
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” James 1:5-8
What pleases God and ushers in our miracles is faith. Doubt communicates to God that we are not totally convinced of His word and promises, thereby hindering our experience of same.
