One of our objectives at ‘Grace Obomanu Foundation’ (GOF) is to help young girls identify and attain full potential through mentoring, coaching or training. ‘Project ONE Girl Child’ targets brilliant girls with promising future in government owned schools in Nigeria, whose parents cannot afford to complete their training through high school due to lack of funds.
The maiden edition commences this 2024/2025 academic year which begins in September. GOF will be collaborating with government-owned schools to identify, screen and select girls with brilliant performance at the Junior WAEC level but whose completion of studies is threatened due to financial difficulties.
Our background survey shows that it costs about 150,000 Nigerian naira (approximately $100) per annum to train a girl child through a government-owned High School in Nigeria. This fee includes tuition, books, uniforms, exam fees.
Would you love to be a part of ONE Girl’s success story? You can donate through crowdfunding or through our giving channels. You can also contact me for further discussions.
As has become our practice at GOF, we maintain utmost financial transparency providing financial reports to donors during and at the end of each project. So, you can trust us with your finances.
Now, because we are collaborating with government-owned schools for best outcomes, it’s important to identify, screen and select this year’s would be beneficiaries before the first term begins this September. So it would be nice to receive your interest to participate by end of August 2024.
‘Project ONE Girl Child’ is very dear to my heart. As someone who benefitted from being supported through high school by an individual other than my parents, I am committed to returning the favor, One Girl Child after another. You can help me do much more!
God bless you now and always as you participate.
Yours sincerely
