As He Is, So Are You In This World

We are just like Jesus in this world. First John chapter 4 verse 17 tells us this much. Dear friend, as He is, so are you in this world.

“And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.” 1 John 4:17 NLT

We were born into Christ at the newbirth, born of God’s Spirit (John 3:5-6), just like Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit but with flesh (1 John 5:1, Philippians 2: 7-8, John 1:14). We are God’s sons, children of God, we are Born of God (1 John 5:1, John 1:12-13, 1 Peter 1;23). We were created anew in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:10, 2 Corinthians 5:17).

Friends,

• By believing and confessing Jesus as Lord,
• We became Born of God
• We are Born of God
• Born of His Spirit
• One time spiritually dead (In Adam), but now alive in God through Christ as new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17)
• Dead spiritually, because of Adam
• Now alive in Christ
• We have this physical bodily form
• Just as Jesus did
• The physical form is just housing the greatness of God in side of us
• Halleluyah!
• Jesus is the firstborn from the dead
• He is seated at the right hand of God the Father
• But guess what
• We are just as He is
• Men, yet with a Godly nature
• And really just like Adam
• Who had God in him, but didn’t know it
• But we know it
• Our knowledge of God is growing, increasing
• We know who we are
• And so we can navigate this world Victoriously
• Just as Jesus did.

As he is, so are you in this world.
