I love talking about being Born of God, it has become my mantra for living the victorious christian life. It is not just excitable to consider oneself as being a child of God, it comes with benefits.
Thinking about Jesus, He held up and held on to His identity of being from above (heaven), rather than from this world. Beyond what was prophesied about Him or spoken by an angel, Jesus personally assumed and walked on earth with an acute awareness of His heavenly citizenship. We ought to do same in order to live victoriously on earth.
Below, I share eight (8) benefits a consciousness of Being Born of God brings for a Christian.
This Bible study series will bless you, jump right in by following this link to watch it in full details on my YouTube channel. Study with me in details on the benefits of being a child of God….
1. It qualifies and positions us to overcome the world.
The only qualification for overcoming the world is to be born of God….
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” I John 5:4, NKJV
2. It makes us immune to sin
“Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.” I John 3:9, NKJV
3. It positions us to access and embrace our identities in Christ Jesus
Our redemption is complete and eternal.
“Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.” Hebrews 9:12. NKJV
4. It helps us reject anything that is contrary to our heavenly identity
“Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” John 10:5, NKJV
5. It positions us to possess every spiritual blessing in Christ
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” Ephesians 1:3, NKJV
6. It keeps us aware of our connection to deity
“By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.” I John 4:13. NKJV
7. It makes us aware of an open line of communication between us and God.
“For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” Romans 8:15-17. NKJV
8. We Have Direction in life.
“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”
Romans 8:14 AMPC
Friends, God leads His sons.
So never lack direction.
Shalom!
