Isaiah chapter 53 verse 5, gives a picture of an exchange, it depicts the substitutionary sacrifice of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus. So because of what Jesus did, you can receive your healing.
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
Jesus’ wounds were payment for our transgressions, His bruises were ransom for our iniquities, He was chasetised, so we could have peace, and He took every single stripe for our healing.
From this verse of scripture we can conclude that WE ARE HEALED, because prophet Isaiah’s prophesy were fulfilled in Jesus as Matthew and Peter coroborrates in Matthew 8:17 and First Peter 2:24 respectively.
Now if I asked you if as a Christian and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, if you have expereinced sickness in your physical body in recent times, you are likely to respond with a YES. So did Isaiah prophesy falsely? Did Matthew and Peter bear false witness?
Certainly not!
Well, in the last 15 minutes of this short teaching, I share on how I’ve learnt todraw from the divine healing Jesus has already made available through His sacrifice.
Jesus is the fulfilment of every promise God ever made to mankind; all of God’s promises are Yes and Amen in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:20). Every promise, prophecy were fulfilled in Him. Healing was promised and healing was delivered in Christ. It is through faith and patience that we inherit all of God’s promises (Hebrews 6:12).
Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1, shades light on 3 important points about faith; it is persuaded, confident and assured, it is the basis of biblical hope, and faith is based on things which are not visible to the physical eyes.
Faith is the only requirement for divine healing. Take your healing today by faith.
