Contentment is satisfaction with one someone has.
For a Christian, contentment means having a sense if sufficiency that is not dependent on lack or abundance.
In First Timothy 6 verses 6-10, Apostle Paul admonishes Timothy (his son in the Lord), to embrace contentment because when mixed with godliness, contentment is profitable, beneficial, it is a great gain.
So far in this study series we have learnt that contentment doesn’t just guard a Christian from falling into the enemy’s traps,
Contentment;
▫️preserves your faith/believe,
▫️protects you from being miserable by preserving your peace and joy
▫️keeps you from covetousness and it’s ungodly consequences.
Friends projecting a Godlike attitude to life’s challenges, acting in faith and being satisfied with what we have is great gain.
