How do you birth that dream, vision, ministry? How do you stand and operate in the office the Lord has assigned to you? How do we possess all the wonderful and precious promises we have in Christ Jesus? Take the Land; possess what has already been given to you.
How To Take The Land
The points mentioned on how to take the land in Part 2 were;
1. Trust and Obey
2. Fight the fight of faith
Today we see 3 more points…..
3. Get The Winning Strategy
As mentioned in Part 1, it’s okay to trust God and move forward, and it is awesome to start fighting your fight of faith by speaking God’s Word. But you know, to get rid of giants, you need to engage a divine strategy. You need a divine strategy to successfully crumble the fortified walls of Jericho and to cross the Jordan. The divine strategy you need to succeed, excel or overcome will come through a divine instruction.
It is not normal for a river to part simply because some men stood at its edge. Neither is it natural for highly fortified walls to crumble from a 7-day walk around it. Israel acted on divine instructions from God (Joshua 3:8-17, Joshua 6:2-5).
You can only achieve the impossible when you follow God’s ways. See what the Psalmist says….
“He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.”
Psalms 18:34 NKJV
Did you know that sometimes all you require to surmount a persistent health challenge is the wisdom of God delivered to you through a divine instruction. And sometimes a divine instruction can help you stand out from a pack of equally qualified folks, colleagues or schoolmates.
Here’s the good news; all the treasures of knowledge and wisdom are hidden in Christ (Colossians 2:3), and are available to you.
Friend, if you landed in your current position by obeying the voice of the Lord, you need His instructions about how to proceed and excel.
4. Make no room for compromise
Compromise means acting on lower standards than is desirable, or conceding far below set principles.
The few people of Ai overpowered 3000 Israeli men because Achan flaunted God’s instruction in a previous battle (Joshua chapters 7 & 8). God had instructed that no accursed thing was to be brought into the Israeli camp, Achan somehow thought it wouldn’t hurt to take along a beautiful babylonian garment, some gold and silver (Joshua 7:20-21). God frowned at Achan’s act of compromise; Israel was surprisingly defeated by Ai.
Achan’s compromise may have been a result of greed, but do you know that compromise is often engineered by fear. Fear will drive someone to seek alternative means of reaching God’s plans.
God walks with faith not fear, He loathes fear but is pleased by faith. And this is something every believer can learn from Hebrews 10:38b….
“But the just shall live by faith [My righteous servant shall live by his conviction respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it]; and if he draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight or pleasure in him. [Hab. 2:3, 4.]”
Hebrews 10:38 AMPC
God takes no delight in the one who falls short of His standards and principles.
Child of God, any form of compromise will take away the God-factor that is critical to your victory.
To become extraordinary in your sphere or space, follow God’s instructions fully, making no room for compromise.
5. Possess The Land
Obedience, faith and daily Spirit-inspired plans will all work together to deliver the land to you. Every divinely inspired step inches you closer to a fulfilment of that dream, vision, ministry. And just like Joshua, you will be conquering and seizing territories one after the other.
Even if it sometimes seem like nothing is happening in the physical, do not despair. If you have FOLLOWED the Lord’s leading fully, just stand where He’s commanded, stand by faith.
Sometimes there are things the Lord speaks to your heart to do that are actually meant for the future. Trying to achieve these things before the set time results in frustration and despair. Philipians 2:13 is one scripture that has helped me settle this sort of things….
“for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”
Philippians 2:13 NIV
Both the WILL and the ACTION to fulfill your God-given purpose come from God. So if you find yourself struggling excessively with any part of your purpose that fits into the general whole, maybe you are moving ahead of God.
Dear friend, stand by faith in the space God has assigned to you and rule there. Be persistent and committed. The land is yours, take it. God is faithful and reliable, He always keeps His side of the bargain.
Because you are the righteous, your expected trend in life is to be making continuous progress until you reach full manifestations and glory. This is what Proverbs 4:18 tells us….
“The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”
Proverbs 4:18 NIV
Halleluyah!
