“Two people will not walk together unless they have agreed to do so.”
Amos 3:3 ERV
To agree with someone is to have the same opinion, to arrive at the same decision, to concur with someone. It also means to have the same mind as someone or to enter into agreement with someone (becoming one with them).
Amos 3:3 says 2 persons cannot walk hand in hand unless they are in agreement. To agree with God is to see things exactly the way He sees them and therefore act exactly as God would in a given situation.
Friends, our God calls things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17)
In Mark 11:22 Jesus said we should “have faith in God”.
“So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”
Mark 11:22-23 NKJV
It is said that the margin of Mark 11:22 actually reads
“have the faith of God or have the God-kind of faith“
What does God need faith for? Have you ever thought about that? If He is GOD, then what does He need faith for? It’s okay to think that man needs faith to access all of God’s grace, but what does GOD need faith for? Why am I being told to have the God-kind of faith?
God displayed great faith by creating the world from words (Hebrews 11:3). In the face of formlessness, void and darkness God spoke the heavens and earth into existence.
Therefore when we read Mark 11:22, to have the God-kind of faith (even with a mountain before us), we are expected to handle contrary/difficult life situations as God would. How do you call forth light in the face of darkness? By faith.
Faith is simply believing the Word of God, speaking what you believe and acting in line with you believe and confess.
God will do all He can to reach us and to help us, however He needs our faith (and cooperation) to save, deliver, prosper and heal.
Agree with God today. God and His Word are the same. The Word of God cannot work for you unless you agree with it. Agree with God today.
Dear friend, is there any chaos, void or emptiness around you today? What does God’s Word say concerning that situation or circumstance? Agree with God; believe His Word and pronounce His Word over that situation. Don’t accept defeat, a ‘nearly’ is not good enough, ‘almost’ doesn’t count with God. God and His Word are inseparable; God cannot fail, His Word cannot fail. Speak God’s Word over that situation, God’s Word will not fail.
Shalom!
