“Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.”Luke 2:52 NLT
Just like any other child, Jesus was born, though through a divine pathway, Jesus was born just as you were.
According to Luke 2:52, Jesus grew in Stature, in Wisdom and in Favor. This means that every day He increased and advanced stature, in wisdom and in favor.
Physically challenged persons are in no small numbers in our society today. Blindness, hearing impairment, skin lesions, loco-motor disabilities, mental illness etc are challenging disabilities to cope with on a daily basis. You may be parent, guardian, relative or even someone dealing with the many difficulties of managing physical challenges.
The Child Jesus GREW in STATURE, His PHYSICAL development was perfect, He matured Physically as expected.
In Mark 9:23b, Jesus said…
“Anything is possible if a person believes.” Mark 9:23 NLT
ANYTHING is POSSIBLE!!!
This Christmas, I bring you good tidings- Jesus came, and He came for you. He came that you might have LIFE, a Good Life, a Life that is Full and Overflows (John 10:10).
Do you believe you can have a different health experience because of Jesus? Jesus Grew perfectly well physically as a child, Oh! I know that YOU too can!
Physical wellness and stability are parts of a good Life. So you don’t have to be physically challenged to need healthy living and wellbeing.
God wants you to prosper in every way…He wants you to prosper Physically and Spiritually….
“Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually].”
3 John 1:2 AMP
You should be enjoying good physical health as a child of God.
If you are a newborn believer, you should also be growing steadily towards maturity (Ephesians 4:14, Hebrews 5:13-14). You should be expressing with increasing consistency the fruit of the Spirit as listed in Ephesians 5:22.
Halleluyah! Jesus grew, increased and advanced physically, you too can.
Another dimension of the growth of Child Jesus we see in Luke 2:52- He grew in WISDOM.
Simply defined, wisdom is the right or proper application of knowledge. If Jesus grew in Wisdom, then He had good learning abilities to first acquire knowledge and then to apply it. So in effect, Jesus grew INTELLECTUALLY. I cannot pretend to understand the difficulties faced by individuals with intellectual disabilities; struggles with trying to learn at an expected level and to function normally in life. But I bring you good news this Christmas. Jesus grew well Intellectually, and He was born to give You a better experience in life.
Can you believe Jesus for an improvement in your intellectual wellbeing? All you have to do is BELIEVE.
No more stigmatization, discrimination or slighting by society. Take a step in the direction of BELIEVE today. Say- Jesus! Son of God I Believe in You! You were physically and intellectually perfect, and so am I from today. I have and operate in the Spirit of the Lord, of wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, and the fear of the Lord.
You know, you don’t need to be intellectually challenged to need wisdom. Wisdom helps you know the right thing to do at every point in time. When You have Jesus, you have Wisdom. Jesus is Wisdom to every believer..
“But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” I Corinthians 1:30 NKJV
God made Jesus wisdom for us. Jesus is the Word. So when we store God’s Word in our hearts and we let the Word guide us, we are behaving as the wise. When we apply the Word in our daily living we are operating in wisdom. Wisdom helps us know when to speak and when to be quiet, when to act and when to restrain ourselves.
Jesus grew in wisdom. You have Jesus, you should be increasing in wisdom.
The 3rd dimension of Jesus’s growth was in FAVOR.
Luke 2:52, says He grew in Favor with God and Man.
Let me tell you about Favor…
It is the act of approval, support, preference or liking that usually attracts goodwill, respect or kindness towards someone.
Favour puts you on the King’s Table; A place of dignity, honor and respect. A place of comfort and confidence. A place of wealth and abundance.
Jesus enjoyed Favor with God; He had unreserved and unlimited access to the Father.
Let me ask you a simple question: would you say that Jesus was actually favoured by men as Luke 2:52 said? I mean they hated Him, haunted Him until they killed Him. That doesn’t sound like favor. However I am quick to add that Jesus fulfilled His purpose in life, He accomplished His mission. And He didn’t do it alone, there were men that helped and supported Him to fulfill His destiny.
When you have favor with God, He causes men, destiny helpers to locate you, chase after you, stick to you, refuse to leave you, until their role in reaching your purpose in life is accomplished. Halleluyah!
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” Psalms 84:11 NIV
When you have favor with God, even your enemies shall favor you,
“When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” Proverbs 16:7 AMPC.
Jesus had unreserved access to the Father and the men that needed to favor Him and move Him towards His destiny were in His corner. When you have Jesus, you already have Favor with God, you can approach God anytime. You can ask and receive anything in the name of Jesus. You are loved with an everlasting love. Men and women are chasing after you to move you daily in the direction of your purpose in life. Even those self-acclaimed enemies of yours favor you. Halleluyah, Amen!

Jesus grew in STATURE, in WISDOM and in FAVOR. You too can grow in these dimensions.
Declare that you are growing and increasing in your health experiences, you are growing and increasing in wisdom. You are growing and increasing in favor in Jesus name. Amen.
