‘I Am Love’ is my 1 Corinthians 13 confession and I hope it inspires you…
…………
I know that even if I speak with the tongues of men and of angels but have not love, I am simply a sounding brass and a noisy clanging cymbal.
Even if I can prophesy, have great understanding of all knowledge and mysteries, I am nothing without love.
My faith, no matter how great is futile without love. And even if I give out all I have to the poor, or surrender my body as a living sacrifice but have not love, I have done nothing.
I put love above the gifts of faith, wisdom, prophecy and speaking in tongues. As I present my body to the Lord as a living sacrifice, I will also love my neighbour as myself. I will give to others, not for selfish gains but out of a revelation of God’s kind of love.
Yes, I am born of God, God is love, and so I am love (I John 4:8). The love of God has been poured abundantly in my heart, and it pours from me to others (Romans 5:5 AMP). I am distinguished and identified as Christ’ disciple because I am love (John 13:35).
I am love! I endure long, I am patient, and I am kind.
I am love! I am not envious, not jealous, not boastful, not haughty or proud, I do not seek vain glory, no, I am fully committed to the Father’s Business.
I am love! I am not rude but gentle, courteous and well-mannered.
I am love! I keep no record of wrongs. I am not easily irritated or overly sensitive. No, I am tolerant and humble, always seeking to understand why people act as they do. I forgive, forget, and embrace. I bear all things, I believe and hope the best of others.
I am love! I do not accommodate iniquity and unrighteousness, neither do I rejoice in them. No, I abhor these things; and I am exceedingly glad when truth prevails.
I am love! I will never fail or fade. I win in all my relationships.
I am love! I will prophesy and I will love. I will speak in tongues and I will love. I will express great faith (growing from faith to faith) and I will love. I will share great truths, wisdom and counsel from the Lord and I will love.
I am love! I am mature not childish. Once I was a child; I didn’t understand who I was, but not anymore. Now I am grown, mature, so I put childish thoughts and things aside.
I am born of God, God is love, I am love!
