Wind refers to air molecules in motion. Wind is an invisible force originating from a source and usually headed in a specific direction. Though greatly invisible, the wind has speed, can move things in its path, it is a powerful force made visible by its impact on the objects on its path.
According to John 3:6 everyone born of God is a spirit..
“That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:6 NKJV
And according to John 3:8, everyone born of the Spirit is like the wind.
“The wind blows wherever it wishes; you hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. It is like that with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
John 3:8 GNB
Characteristics of the wind we see from John 3:8
1. Has a source (coming from somewhere), is on a mission.
2. Headed in a direction (going to somewhere), has a target, headed towards a destination.
3. Is a powerful force (force of motion), it has speed.
4. Can move in any direction (blows wherever it wishes).
5. People around may not always accurately determine it’s flow
6. Is impactful (sound). We see winds pulling particles together in a whirlwind, winds can be breeze (we feel it or see it move objects), it can move waters as with hurricanes or when it forms tornadoes.
Child of God, you are Spirit, sent by the Father on earth on a mission, to impact lives positively. You are to be seen, to be heard, to make a difference. And though you have a specific purpose to accomplish, you can do all things through the force of the Spirit propelling you.
You are born of God; and God leads His sons towards a definite destination
Have a great week.
