The Word of God is health to all our flesh.
“My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.“
Proverbs 4:20-22 NKJVhttps://bible.com/bible/114/pro.4.20-22.NKJV
Through the years, I learnt to seek out, identify, meditate on and declare the Word on healing over my life. That’s one way to appropriate our healing benefit in Christ.
I have ready scriptures on healing at the tip of my tongue, and I readily declare them over my life.
Psalm 107:20, tells us that God Almighty sent His Word, to heal and deliver. The Word always accomplishes its intended purpose.
“He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”
Psalms 107:20 NKJV
John 1:1-5, says the Word existed in the beginning with God.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.“
John 1:1-5 NKJV
The Word created all things, the Word is God. This means that the Word Is a person.
There are only 3 persons in the Godhead; God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), God the Holy Spirit.
Who is the Word?
We find the answer to this question in John 1: 6-12…
“There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:”
John 1:6-12 NKJV

From John 1:1-12, we learn that the Word is a person, the Word is Life, the Word is Light, the Word came into the world and lived among men, the Word is the Messiah that came to His own but they did notrecognize Him.
Now, the only person in the Godhead that fits these descriptions is Jesus Christ.
So, the Word is not just notes we read written in the Bible. The Word is a person. The Word is Jesus Christ.
If we go back to Psalm 107:20 and Proverbs 4:20-22, we can say that God sent Jesus (the Word), healed us and delivered us from destruction. Jesus (the Word) is health to all our flesh (body).
How did Jesus secure healing and deliverance for us? Isaiah 53:5 shows us the exchange that took place. Jesus swapped our sickness and disease for health. He carried every sickness/disease in His body and in exchange gave us healing and health.
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5 NKJV
How do we appropriate this healing? When we look up to Jesus and BELIEVE. Just like the Israelites had to believe that by simply looking at a raised bronze serpent hanging on a tree they would be healed of the poisonous serpent’s stings ….
“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:14-15 NKJV
“Then the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.” So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.”
Numbers 21:8-9 NKJV
Here is the most exciting part, healing is Already in us!! Jesus is in us. Halleluyah!!
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
John 1:14 NKJV
And each time we break bread, every time we partake of the Blessed and Broken Bread, we proclaim and reaffirm that By His Stripes we are healed.
“For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.”
I Corinthians 11:26 NKJV
If you are reading this, you are a Believer in Jesus Christ but somehow your body is plagued by sickness and disease. It is time to introduce I BELIEVE into your healing confessions. ‘I BELIEVE’ is All Jesus ever looked for in order to heal (John 9:35, Mark 11:24, James 2:19, John 11:26, etc).
“Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
John 11:40 NKJV
Prayer
Lord Jesus, I BELIEVE that You are the Word sent from God the Father. I BELIEVE that You came, carried every sickness and disease in Your body and in exchange gave me healing and health. I declare Lord, that You are my health and healing. I look up to You and declare Lord I BELIEVE. I believe that You have made me whole. I believe that by Your Stripes I am healed. Thank You Lord.
