What if I told you that ‘God already knew about whatever it is you are experiencing right now, whether pleasant or unpleasant? ‘ He knew.
I am not saying that God planned for you to have bad experiences, no. I know that sometimes people say certain things in a bid to soothe or comfort. It is important to be reminded however, that God is incapable of evil.
In 6 Intrinsic Attributes of God, I share 6 things about the nature of God that will never change. God is Good. He is Love. He is Sovereign. God is Merciful. He is Faithful. He is a Covenant Keeper.
So the next time we’re uncertain about what things qualify as ‘Acts of God‘, these inherent attributes of God can help keep us from falslely accusing God while also recognizing the tricks of the enemy.
God knew me.
He doesn’t just have the answer to What Is My Purpose In Life?, He knew about every stage, every day and every moment of my life. He planned, fashioned, appointed, laid out every single moment of my life.
Below, I share 4 different translations of Psalm 139:16..
“Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.’
Psalms 139:16 NKJV
“You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.“
Psalms 139:16 NLT
“Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were appointed for me, When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].”
Psalms 139:16 AMP
“Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.”
Psalm 139:13-16 MSG
Question: What stage, day or moment of life are you currently at? Pleasant? Praise God! Unpleasant? Praise God, God’s got you.
Your times are in His hands.
“My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me.”
Psalms 31:15 NKJV
You’re not going to be overwhelmed by that situation or circumstance, God’s got you. That sickness cannot kill you (unless you give in), God’s got you. That medical investigation report is not the final report, God’s Word is. And God’s Word is life (Isaiah 40:8).
God’s got you. You are in the safest of hands.
Here’s one of my favourite scripture on divine protection…
“I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.“
John 17:23 NKJV
You may read John 17:23 and see a prayer by Jesus for unity in the body of Christ. But look again, it also speaks of a double layer of divine protection…
If Christ is in Us and the Father is in Christ, then we are kept safe in the Father through Christ. Halleluyah!
God’s got us. Halleluyah!
He knew me. Not one stage of my life, not one day, not one moment surprises Him.
And God already made a way out of that unpleasant situation, I just have to ask the Holy Spirit to show me.
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
I Corinthians 10:13 NKJV
