“And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death.“
Revelation 12:11 AMP https://bible.com/bible/1588/rev.12.11.AMP
‘him‘ in the above scripture refers to the thief mentioned in John 10:10a. His job description is to steal, kill, and destroy.
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy….”
John 10:10 NKJV
Thank God that Jesus already overcame him and gave us the victory.
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”
I John 5:4 NKJV
Irrespective of what comes our way, how we feel, the situations we face, maintaining our confessions of what Christ already got for us is how we maintain our victory. By faith we speak the Word instead of our feelings.
Irrespective of the symptoms we feel, we continue to say, “by His Stripes we were healed“. And in spite of the situation we continue to say, “we are born of God, and so we overcome“.
If we change or forsake our confessions or testimony when things get tough, we’re unlikely to overcome.
The Communion offers us both the blood (that overcomes) and an opportunity to testify of our faith in the finished work of Christ.
“For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.“
I Corinthians 11:26 NKJV
Let’s stay in the victory zone. Stay in the Word. Stay in the Covenant.
