In the old covenant, God spoke to His people through prophets.
In this new covenant and dispensation, God can still speak through prophets, however, You Do Not Need A Prophet to Hear God.

If God wants to communicate something to you, He is not going to make it sooo hard for you to hear Him and understand His leading. You just need to be tuned to His frequency. One way to be tuned to God’s frequency is speak in tongues regularly.
