3 Essential Elements of Victorious Christian Living

To live victoriously is to always overcome, always conquer, to always prevail, to triumph always, to win all the time. A life of perpetual victory is possible and expected for a Christian because of the finished work of Christ.

The Whole Armor of God (XI)

Welcome!

This is the 11th and concluding part of this study. I encourage you to read up on the Helmet of Salvation in Part 3, the Breastplate of Righteousness in Parts 4 and 5, the Belt of Truth in Part 6, the Shoes of Peace in Part 7, the Shield of Faith in Part 8, the Sword of the Spirit in Part 9 and Praying in the Spirit in Part 10.

The study text ….. Ephesians 6: 13-18….

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints”
Ephesians 6:13‭-‬18 NKJV

Brethren, let us be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Let us stay conscious of the whole armor of God at all times and in this confidence stand firmly in the victory Christ already won for us.

Thank you so much for joining me on this study. It was quite revealing for me, I gained better clarity on this portion scripture than the first time I wrote on it on the blog few years ago. Thank You Lord!

For the remaining part of 2020, I will be starting a new study series; “3 Essential Elements for Victorious Christian Living (Love, Faith and Hope)”. We have over the past few months laid the foundation for these 3 elements on different study days on the blog. In this study therefore, we will be looking at how each of these elements help us live victoriously as Christians.

Also, in January 2021 I will be doing a study on “Wisdom for Influence“. ‘Wisdom for Influence’ is a topic the Lord dropped in my heart several months ago, long before I started on “The Whole Armor of God“. This is going to be a blessing.

I have written quite some notes on these 2 topics. So please join me every Friday as we study the Word together. We will be taught of the Lord!

To have these studies delivered directly to your mailbox, subscribe here.

Love Always

Grace

The Whole Armor of God (X)

Praying in the Spirit is a key way of making supplication for the saints. And speaking in tongues is a way of praying in the Spirit. When we identify relevant scriptures for different situations, praying in tongues ensures we pray the perfect will of God; because the Spirit prays for us according to the Word and according to the Mind of God concerning a situation or circumstance.

Where Is Your HOPE?

This conviction that God will come through for us is solidly hinged and anchored by hope; the joyful and confident expectation that we will indeed see and experience these things.  Hope sustains our confidence that our faithful God will bring His promises to pass in our lives

The Whole Armor of God (IX)

The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God. It should be drawn always, wielded by speaking it continually; in all times and seasons.
One of the benefits of praying in other tongues is that we speak mysteries, we pray things we know nothing about, the Holy Spirit prays them through us. Sometimes He provides the interpretations of our tongues and helps our understanding  but even when that doesn’t happen, we’re confident that we pray aright.

The Whole Armor of God (VIII)

Don’t let the enemy steal your faith. Just like a soldier’s shield, position/keep the Word of God always before you.
Alternatives to faith will deny you the opportunity to experience the supernatural and rob you of a full joy.
Take that faith leap, endure the temporary pain or discomfort, alternatives will only keep delaying your miracle.

The Whole Armor of God (VII)

Just as a soldier’s sturdy boots makes for balance and stability, putting on the shoes of peace as an armor provides a base, foundation, stability and calm confidence.

More Than The Dynamics of Faith

So I ask you concerning that thing you have been praying and crying to God about; ‘do you believe that you have it’? If you believe, when was the last time you asked God about it again? How many times have you asked God about it? Should you be continually asking about the same thing over and again? Does that sound like faith? ?. Have you really been in faith concerning that thing? Do you believe that you have what you asked your Father for? Do you have a confirmation, assurance, confidence that you have it? What would you be doing if you received what you asked of someone? …Say; ‘thank you’ right? So has your ‘praying without ceasing’ been of thanksgiving?

The Whole Armor of God (VI)

Do you believe in the absolute integrity of the Word of God? Do you believe that the Word of God is the Truth and nothing else but the Truth? Do you believe that the Bible was written by men as  they were inspired by God? When you read ‘by His Stripes we were healed’ do you believe it irrespective of the obvious symptoms in your body? Do you believe the Word of God? Can you stake your life on it?

The Whole Armor of God (V)

When we became new creations in Christ, Ephesians 4:24, says we were created with God’s nature of righteousness and holiness.
